A few good things

I hate to be so negative lately so here are three good things from the past few days:

1. I love Ross/TJ Maxx/Walmart/Target. I love $6 shirts and $10 pants.
2. I found the car I want to buy, 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. Totally kick ass.
3. I have discovered my inner girly-girl. I'm carrying a purse. I am wearing dangling earrings. Pink just might be my new favorite color.

One dumb question:
1. Is XL the same as 1X?

My 1992 Camry just died. I'd LOVE to be able to buy a new Camry hybrid! Oh well.

I bought 5 Target fitted t-shirts to wear throughout the summer. $9 each. Their plus-sized clothes are hopeless; their regular sized clothes are actually okay!

NO, XL is basically a size *below* 1X!!! Sometimes there's a little overlap, but basically you're moving into junior sizes when you move to an XL. Depending on what the item is in tops, I wear anything from an M to an XL now and an L or XL in pants.

(Welcome to the psychotic world of women's sizing ... it's MUCH LESS CONSISTENT as sizes get smaller, I think.)

That Camry is really nice. A friend of mine drove her and a friend from upstate NY down to GA over two days and she said the car performed beautifully and they only filled up twice and they've been using the second fill up while they've been here. I never, ever considered a hybrid before but when my current batmobile gives out, that is what I will (hopefully) be getting.

I am amazed at how confusing clothes sizes are. There's that whole W thing too, like 24W versus 24. What's that about? Is it really necessary?

You are right about Target. I had bought two 28/30 t-shirts which I am only now able to wear and I'm more of a 20/22. Weird.
